Bitcoin came close to hitting $90k or £70k this morning, yet it’s failure to hit the mark entirely may have resulted in a sharp correction. The price fell off a cliff and it traded for around 4 hours at these levels. In GBP, it even fell to 58k, which made me chuckle.

Since then however it has come back and is trading now at 87k.

There are now serious rumours circulating online that the moment of nation state adoption is almost upon us – if not already here. Individuals that operate at this level have already come out and said that the time is almost here. Calls have been made. Conversations have taken place. One individual has even stated that a nation state has already been purchasing Bitcoin. If these rumours are true, then the moment could well and truly be upon us. If true, it could mean that the chance to get in early is well and truly over. Nation state adoption of Bitcoin will send the price to 1 million a coin very easily and in a short space of time.

What does this mean for you and me?

It means the days of cheap sats could well and truly be over. If you had a goal to stack a set amount of Bitcoin then your days may be numbered. Make no mistake. Nation state adoption of Bitcoin would happen suddenly.

Very suddenly.

Part of me hopes that this is the case, and part of me doesn’t. I would love nothing more than another 4 year cycle so that I could stack sats on the cheap and build up my own treasury. It would also mean that I and others have more time to onboard the rest of the population who so far as yet have not stacked any Bitcoin.

But those days are more likely than not, numbered. People have had almost 16 years to get in on it before the bigger players did. Now, everybody is saying that this cycle is different. This could be the one that sees hyperbitcoinisation take place.

Hyperbitcoinisation, for those that don’t know, is the point of no return. It is the critical mass moment whereby the adoption of Bitcoin cannot be stopped or slowed. It is the moment in which Bitcoin becomes the default value system of the world.

And as scary as that might sound, it might already be upon us.

Whether by choice or not, the world may soon be forced to adopt Bitcoin.
